What an incredible experience to visit both Cambodia and Vietnam and all take in all of its amazing history.  We began our trip in Cambodia, visiting the temples of Angkor Wat considered the “8th Wonder of the World”.  The temples sit on 500 acres and were built in the 12th century.  Although a very early morning, you must see them at sunrise as the temples slowing appear in the horizon. You forget you are in the 21st century.

We boarded our Mekong River boat, the Jahan, for a 5-day trip from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Ming City.  With only 48 guests we sat back to sail in grand style. Stopping in small villages and viewing the countries highlights along the way.  Traveling with historians and naturalist as guides made the trip one of the most fascinating, we’ve ever experienced.

We enjoyed Saigon and made our way to Hanoi in the northern part of the country.  With its French Colonial history and influence, it is a beautiful city. Hanoi lies approximately 2 1/2 hours to the west of Halong Bay.  We chartered a small Junk for 8 of us on Halong Bay for 3 days and 2 nights to explore the World Heritage Site. Sailing between the limestone pillars, the captain and guides led us through the spectacular scenery while the chef provided local delicacies.  We sailed in complete comfort and the trip like no other!!
