We experienced 10 glorious days, starting our trip in London, and heading north on the train to Edinburgh. The 4-hour train ride allowed us to experience the countryside as we relaxed and took it all in. We spent a day walking the streets of Edinburgh and the next walking the grounds of historic St. Andrews, the “Home of Golf”, as our group experienced golf’s original major – The Open. Even if you are not a golfer, it is a “must have experience” for everyone.
We moved on to exploring the vast countryside by car, driving the vast countryside through the Highlands, ferrying over to the Isle of Skye with magical castles all along the way. A stop and tour at the Edradour Distillery, the smallest single malt distillery in Scotland, shopping cashmere at Johnsons in Elgin and sipping a great glass of wine at Inverness Castle. A relaxing pace with a combination of golf resorts, comfortable castles, and quaint hotels. The history of Scotland is throughout the country.
